Our Canadian friends celebrate their Thanksgiving today so with them in mind, let’s talk Turkey!
We had a fun-filled Sunday, Oct.12th, performing at the annual Cuero, TX TurkeyFest.
Back in 1912, before cars and trucks were the norm, Cuero hosted its first Turkey Trot. Estimates of 30,000 people flocked to see over 18,000 turkeys herded down Main Street. In this modern era, the festival is full of many great things to do and we were happy to be part of their concert series. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Emil Garza, Mayor of Cuero, as shown in this photo below. We also enjoyed performing to a great crowd of fans who showed us they still love our kind of country!
