We never know what to expect at a Little Roy & Lizzy Festival but whatever it is, it’s always fun. Over the years we’ve become great friends with the talented duo, Little Roy and Lizzy, who are legends in the Bluegrass world. You can see in the photo below that Lizzy was dressed up for one of her misadventures.
We also had our dear friend and a legend in her own right, the Queen of Bluegrass, Rhonda Vincent, there. Rhonda’s been known to pull a few pranks herself but this time her fun was aimed at others and we just sang some of our duets together. Rhonda is always a joy to sing with because no matter what might be happening all around the stage, she’s got her part down to perfection. I remember one night Rhonda was walking onto the stage singing her intro on our song “Sweet Thang.” Well Rhonda’s feet got tangled up in some cords onstage and although she almost went down, she kept right on singing and stayed perfectly on key while untangling herself from that mess. She’s a pro for sure.
You never know what might happen at a show but as long as a cicada doesn’t lodge in my throat on an outside stage I ‘reckon we’ll be alright.

Little Roy visited with me on the bus before the show and it’s always a pleasure to catch up on things.
