Many thanks to all of you for making my album release date, September 16th, one to remember. So many of you bought the CD and made very kind comments about the music and that means everything to me. When I listen to songs, I keep you in mind, hoping what I pick will be as meaningful to you, as it is to me.
I hope you also were able to catch the special show we did for Sirius XM’s “Willie’s Roadhouse” with my good friend, Jeannie Seely as the host. Besides being an extraordinary singer, songwriter and entertainer, Jeannie is an excellent host, keeping the show moving and asking all kinds of great questions. We just had so much fun working that show together and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
In the meantime, the band and I just keep doing what we also like to do – perform for you. We enjoyed two great shows this past weekend. One in my hometown of Paris, TX at Love Civic Center and the other in Ardmore, OK for the World Championship Bullfights. This photo is from Ardmore where we had a wonderful crowd. When you look at this photo, doesn’t it kinda look like our bass player, Staley Rogers, has lit a fire on that bass? If you’ve been to one of our shows, you know he’s always in the groove and I think the camera caught his intensity. Either that or the building was burning down behind us and no one noticed. #Memories to Burn #Fighting Fire with Fire
