Opry photographer, Chris Hollo took this image above of Jeannie, Opry’s Gina Keltner, and Gene while Gina was attempting a selfie.
Friday, Feb. 2nd we rolled into Nashville from Texas and were happy to be met with warm weather, no ice, snow, or even rain. Friday night we enjoyed a fun night with fellow Opry members, Dailey & Vincent, Mark Wills and so many more. Of course, when our great friend, Jeannie Seely, is also there we spend a lot of time laughing and talking to her. I can’t recall the exact number but Jeannie has made more than 5,000 appearances on the Opry. I wish I had thought to keep a count of my visits since my first time in the Opry circle was when I was just 21, a memorable experience given to me by the Wilburn Brothers. As we have been announcing, I’ll be back Tuesday, February 13th along with The Bellamy Brothers where we’ll have the first-ever live performance of our new single (written by David Bellamy) “Forever Ain’t Long Enough.” The video will debut Feb. 8th online at People.com and the radio premiere will be on SiriusXM’s Willie’s Roadhouse Feb. 9th. It’s a classic just out in time for Valentine’s Day! Put it in your calendar to come see us or if you can’t be there in person, listen in at WSM-AM online! Don’t forget to add “Forever Ain’t Long Enough” to your playlist on your favorite streaming service at https://bellamy-watson.lnk.to/ForeverAintLongEnough
