It’s a great start to summer! We had a fantastic night at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday, May 31st, where we ran into our good friend Mark Wills. Mark opened the show and wowed the audience with a medley of Alabama hits among his own chart toppers. Marty Stuart and Connie Smith closed out the evening entertaining the audience with all of their incredible songs..
When I got offstage from my set, I was surprised to see the Queen backstage – the Queen of Bluegrass that is, Ms. Rhonda Vincent. I told her if we knew she was going to drop by we would have invited her to sing one with us – but we promised to do that another time.
Speaking of Bluegrass and Country – we’ve got a big show coming up June 8th in Bagdad, KY at the McClurg Farm. This is called the Farm Jamb and it’s a 3 day event with lots of great artists. Rhonda Vincent is on the same night as us so I’m sure we’ll be able to talk her into coming on stage to sing a few with us. Come see us there!
