Don’t you love the July 4th holiday! It’s a wonderful day to come together and celebrate our great nation. I like it because it’s just a good holiday – no need for a huge dinner or a bunch of gifts- just the opportunity to celebrate it as you prefer.
We’ve had a few occasions as a band to celebrate in various cities and each time it’s been a real pleasure to see the fans come out to hear our music and then cap off a big night with an excellent fireworks show. Other special July 4th highlights include our two shows for Willie’s 4th of July Picnic. Our most recent of Willie’s Picnic shows was in 2019, held in Austin, TX where we had lots of sunshine and a huge crowd of energetic fans.
This year, we’re looking forward to spending the 4th of July at Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton, VA – the home of the Statler Bros and sons, Langdon and Wil Reid, of Wilson Fairchild. Wilson Fairchild are a phenomenal duo – great singers, songwriters, musicians, and super entertainers. We hope you can come out for this special hometown event which features an old-fashioned parade with me and my band riding a float. That right there is enough of a site for you to make the trip. But seriously, this is going to be a great time with plenty of family-friendly activities for this nostalgic hometown American celebration.
