Friday, March 14th was a return trip to the great Heart of Texas Music Festival, held annually in Brady, TX. Our friend and host, Tracy Pitcox, always does an outstanding job with this real country music festival. If you missed it this year, be on the watch for it in March of next year. There are many excellent concerts plus music for dancing and so much more. This year I had the pleasure of meeting up with my old friend Dottsy, who you know from her big hit “(After Sweet Memories) Play Born to Lose Again “as well as many other great songs. I also enjoyed visiting with wonderful singer, Mary Lou Turner. She has plenty of her own hit singles but is well-known as the duet partner of Bill Anderson. Their duet, “Sometimes“, reached # 1 in 1976.
