As we celebrate our great nation’s independence holiday this week on July 4th, let’s also extend our good wishes to our Canadian friends, celebrating Canada Day July 1st!
This summer is certainly flying by fast. We’ve been enjoying some tremendous crowds at our shows and we thank all of you who are able to come out and share your appreciation for REAL Country Music!
On a serious note, I do want to remind everyone that social media is overrun with scammers. My office hears almost daily about a new threat. Some we’ve heard include asking for money to help me record a new album, asking for money to buy a backstage pass or a VIP card to get a meeting, asking for money because I’m supposedly sick in the hospital. Do you see the recurring theme – the scammers will always be asking for money. According to the FBI, the scammers make billions from unsuspecting folks. I am NOT texting with anyone. I am not asking for money. If you’re asked to go to another online site to “speak privately”- ban that number as that’s a criminal about to take your life savings. Please be careful and alert your elderly friends or relatives who may not be as aware of social media scams.
Life is good, just be extra cautious online.
