We do love a night at the Opry and last week’s “Classic Opry” night on Thursday/ October 23rd, was another great one. We visited backstage with our road buddies, The Bellamy Brothers, longtime friend, Larry Gatlin and others. At our Saturday show, at the new Nashville venue, Harken Hall, our good friend,Nancy Jones, came out to the show and we shared some wonderful stories of her late husband, Country Music legend, George Jones. I told her one of my favorite tours was with George Jones in Canada where he’d call me back onstage to sing the closing song of the night – always one of his favorite hymns, “Me and Jesus.”
