We had a big crowd of real country music fans with us on Sunday afternoon (July 16th) in Lancaster, PA at the American Music Theater. Wilson Fairchild opened the show and we were glad to catch up again with them after the spectacular Fourth of July show that we did together in their hometown of Staunton, VA. Langdon and Wil Reid are the sons of Statler Brothers’ Don Reid and Harold Reid (respectively). Be sure to check them out at www.WilsonFairchild.com . It makes all of us happy that some “young’uns” are out there performing good country music and these talented young men write it, sing it and entertain with the best of them.
For our show, my band was sizzlin’ hot, just like the heat back in my town of Houston. I’m extremely proud of these musicians and the audience was feeling the same. They could appreciate great musicians and we felt the love for the real country music that we continue to play.
If you happen to be coming to Nashville in the coming week, we’ll be performing at the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday, July 18th, and again on Friday, July 21st. Tickets are at www.Opry.com.
From there we’ll head over to Owensboro, KY to the Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Museum. They have a very fine theater there with an excellent sound system and almost as importantly, great air conditioning! Please come out and see us at one of these great locations.
