    Saw Gene last nite @ Cypress Bayou Casino in Charenton, LA it was a fantastic show as usual!!!  My birthday was Jan 5th  so Igot tickets to see him. Greatest Singer ever   Jean S  South Louisiana

      I AGREE—–THE BEST EVER! I first saw Gene Watson back in the 70′s and  I knew there was really something SPECIAL about this singer. Saw him many times over the next 15 years then didn’t see him again until a couple of months ago. His voice is like fine wine! Is better as he has gotten older. I too am going to see him in NC in May as I will be turning 70!!  But I feel like a young 70!!  That will be the best b-day gift ever. One of my sisters, a niece and great niece are treating me. Hubby will stay home this time! He is a true country singer. Thank God for him and that he is still singing.

    Saw Gene @ Cypress Bayou Casino, Charenton, La. Jan. 6,’12. Gene was sensational!!! He nailed the highs and still has great lung capacity. His range is still superb. He is a superb singer, intertainer, and a tribute toCountry Music.

    I have never had the privilage & honor the see Gene Watson live but have a huge fan forever. I have everything he ever recorded. There is no other like him. His album with Rhonda Vincent is magical. He sounds as good or better now than he did 50 yrs ago. If he ever comes to the Northwest again I will do whaterver it take to get to see him.

    I think Gene Watson is the best country singer there is… he’s up there with the likes of Merle Haggard and Johnny cash… I’d love to know if he intends doing a tour in Australia… I live in Sydney, but come from Ireland , and I go home often.. so Australia or Ireland… please

    I heard the interview with Gene on Willie’s Roadhouse this morning.  What a great singer he is.  I loved hearing about his career and all the country legends that influenced his music.   I’ll be looking for the CD, and I hope to see Gene in concert this year.
