Country Legend Gene Watson Update

Is it just me or has this year flown by – seems like just yesterday we were releasing the new Best of the Best, 25 Greatest Hits. And celebrating  50 Years in the Music Business – that time has flown by too.  I still remember those days working at the Dynasty Club in Houston and dreaming of maybe having a little hit on the charts around Texas.  They always tell you to dream big but sometimes a person just can’t imagine where life can take you.  I don’t know that I could have imagined traveling all over the world singing but life has been good and I’m still traveling around. The band and I are going to Norway this summer for a festival called Norsk Country in Breim.  We’re looking forward to that and to continuing to travel all around our favorite spots in the USA and Canada too.  Never know where we may be before the new year is over.  Recently, I was looking at some old photos and saw this one below. I was probably a little nervous back then talking to Ralph Emery.  Ralph was the big star and I was just happy he wanted me on the show!   Guess that’s about all for today.  Stay in touch,  Gene

    Hey Gene,

I’m still enjoying the new “25 Greatest” CD. It’s one of your best. As usual, outstanding arrangements. Great pickers!!
I’m still in the Austin area and hope to see you when you get back this way. We talked when you were in Coupland a few years ago when Chad Garrett was working for you. He is the son of my cousin in Paris. I was born close to “Pinhook” and lived in East Texas most of my life.
Hope you stay busy and will see you soon.

    Hi Gene,
Am really looking forward to “Willie’s Roadhouse” on Sirius to hear your special show soon. Want to wish you, your band & your family all the Merriest of Christmas’s and a healthy & prosperous 2013! Sure enjoyed seeing you in Wickenburg, AZ in 2011 and hope you’ll be able to plug Arizona into your 2013 schedule! I enjoyed your concert more than any I’ve ever seen from George Strait to George Jones! God Bless & stay safe.
